Sessions are currently offered both in-person and online via Teletherapy! In-person sessions can be held at either of our two locations in Arvada or Lakewood. One of the benefits of teletherapy is that it can be done from anywhere! However, our therapists are only permitted to provide services to Colorado residents or individuals currently residing in Colorado. Teletherapy can also be a great option for clients who typically partake in in-person sessions but are sick, traveling, or otherwise stuck at home.
Teletherapy is the provision of counseling through technological means. At Denver Couples and Sex Therapy, teletherapy is provided via video sessions through our clients secure online portals and allows for the convenience of remote counseling.

The ideal frequency for sessions is completely dependent on the individual/couple, the difficulties they are facing, and the work they are trying to do. However, we typically recommend all new clients begin therapy on a weekly basis for the first four to six sessions. This allows your therapist to begin to know and understand you better, helps in the building of the therapeutic relationship, and gets you moving towards your goals and progress.
There is no one-size fits all approach to therapy, including how often is ideal for you to go. However, most of our clients participate in weekly or bi-weekly therapy. Once you have made progress and reached some of your goals, we recommend moving into a maintenance phase where you can change to bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly sessions.
This is completely dependent on you and your situation! However, our therapists typically provide one or two sessions per week for clients.
Our therapists typically schedule sessions with clients in regular time slots. However, they are always willing to work with you and reschedule pending availability. Flexibility is a vital aspect of life and our therapists do as much as they can to accommodate our clients needs.
