Do you offer sessions in-person or online?
Sessions are currently offered both in-person and online via Teletherapy! In-person sessions can be held at either of our three locations in Arvada, Lakewood, or Southeast Denver. One of the benefits of teletherapy is that it can be done from anywhere! Teletherapy can also be a great option for clients who typically partake in in-person sessions but are sick, traveling, or otherwise stuck at home. However, our therapists are only permitted to provide services to Colorado residents or individuals currently residing in Colorado.

If you are looking for relationship or sex therapy near you in Denver or are seeking online couples therapy in Colorado, Denver Couples and Sex Therapy offers many options for prospective clients.

What is teletherapy and do you offer teletherapy for couples in Colorado?

How often should I go to couples therapy in Denver?

The ideal frequency for sessions is completely dependent on the individual/couple, the difficulties they are facing, and the work they are trying to do. However, we typically recommend all new clients begin therapy on a weekly basis for at least the first four to six sessions. This allows your therapist to get to know and understand you better, helps in the building of the therapeutic relationship, and gets you moving toward your goals and progress. Our minimum required frequency for all new clients is on a biweekly basis.

How often should I go to therapy?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, including how often it is ideal for you to go. However, most of our clients participate in weekly or bi-weekly therapy. Once you have made progress and reached some of your goals, we recommend moving into a maintenance phase where you can change to bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly sessions.

How many sessions can I receive in a week?

This is completely dependent on you and your situation! However, our therapists typically provide one or two sessions per week for clients.

Can I change when my session is held?

Our therapists typically schedule sessions with clients in regular time slots. However, they are always willing to work with you and reschedule pending availability. Flexibility is a vital aspect of life, and our therapists do as much as they can to accommodate our clients’ needs.

Do you provide services to minors?

At this time, Denver Couples & Sex Therapy does not see anyone under the age of eighteen years old. However, our team has wonderful referrals for anyone seventeen years or younger seeking services. Email us if you are in need of resources or referrals for any under eighteen years of age.
