Denver Couples & Sex Therapy, DCST, is beyond excited to open its first location in Olde Town Arvada this January! DCST specializes in the provision of therapy for both individuals and couples with expertise in relationship and human sexuality.
Our office is located in a historic building in the main square of Olde Town and was created to nurture a space for safety, healing, and growth. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions and are greatly looking forward to integrating into this community.
DCST’s first location was designed by Brittany Jackson Design and was inspired by a Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic centered on the idea of transience and imperfection⎻ the principle that nothing is ever permanent or perfect. Not only is this design warm, welcoming, and beautiful, but it also parallels the truths we experience in relationships. Relationships experience rupture, but this pain can be cared for, comforted, and restored.
One of the most common representations of Wabi-Sabi is kintsugi. Kintsugi is the process of mending a broken ceramic with gold. It is our hope at DCST to replicate this art in the work we do with individuals and couples⎻ to take what is broken and create something beautiful through repair.
